Lisa A. Perryman, MD, FACS, FASCRS
Dr. Perryman holds board certification in colon & rectal surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS). She completed a fellowship in colon & rectal surgery at the Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and performed a seven-year general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Perryman earned her Doctor of Medicine degree as well as a Master of Science degree in Pathology from the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. She is president of Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists, which she founded in 2008.
Bonny, Practice Manager
Bonny joined Dr. Perryman’s practice in 2016, and has extensive experience in the medical practice field.
After graduating from Purdue University, she pursued a business career and later transitioned into healthcare.
She is a former President of Colorado Medical Group Management Association (CMGMA), a member of the American Medical Billing Association, and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE), and Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS). She chaired Centura Colorado Health Neighborhoods’ Value & Vision Committee, and serves on the PIMA Medical Institute Advisory Board. Bonny is an active advocate of the practice’s quality, patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Bonny is the primary contact in Dr. Perryman’s office regarding billing and insurance questions.
Her special interests include cooking, gardening, hiking through the Sonoran Desert, and historic preservation.
Nicole, Front Office Administrator
Nicole has been with Dr. Perryman’s practice since 2013. Prior to joining Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists, she gained extensive medical office experience while working in healthcare clinics, including physical therapy. Nicole majored in psychology at Colorado State University, and participates in continuing education studies including anatomy and physiology. She has a calm, gracious personality, which is welcoming to patients visiting Dr. Perryman’s office. Nicole’s role within the office consists of front office administration, including colonoscopy and appointment scheduling, insurance verification, as well as some clinical assisting. In her free time she enjoys baking, volunteering at the Denver Zoo, and traveling through the English countryside with her husband.
Isa, Medical Assistant
Isa assists Dr. Perryman in all clinical matters including medical triage, surgery scheduling, follow up care, and office procedures. She graduated with honors from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She has known since middle school that she has wanted to be a doctor and has been accepted to several medical schools for Fall 2023. She plans to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology or emergency medicine.
While attending CU Boulder, Isa was a known leader including as Co-Captain of the CU Women’s Lacrosse Team. She found tutored secondary and college-level students in the sciences rewarding. She has worked in a hospital ICU unit and continues to volunteer weekends at Children’s Hospital in Aurora.
One of five siblings of a US Marine family now residing in Steamboat Springs, she has lived in Kansas, Washington, North Carolina, California, Virginia, and Colorado. She loves the Colorado outdoors, reading historical fiction, running, and yoga. Her favorite food is cheese fries with bacon. Isa’s pleasant personality helps patients feel more at ease.
Nikki, Medical Office Assistant
Nikki’s role at Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists focuses on front office activities including referrals, scheduling, and special projects. Before joining our team, Nikki gained her medical office experience while working in a busy OB/GYN office in Denver. Prior to healthcare, she was in hospitality and commercial real estate in marketing and management roles. Nikki is very much a people-person who enjoys ensuring patients have a positive experience.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, she attended Northeastern University majoring in marketing, and graduated magna cum laude from Central Connecticut State University with a degree in psychology. Her family owned La Scala Restaurant, where Cape Cod’s best Italian cuisine has been served for over twenty years.
She is a mom of two young, very active boys. She loves to travel and camp with her family, prefers the beach over snow, and also appreciates just relaxing at home.
Kathleen, Clinic Administrative Assistant
Kathleen supports all aspects of front office operations and assists in clinical activities. She is pursuing a Masters of Public Health at University of Colorado - Denver while working at Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists. She initially wanted to be a pharmacist but has instead found her niche in the business side of medicine. She is a student member of Colorado Medical Group Management Association (CMGMA). Outside of work and studies, Kathleen enjoys playing the piano, flute and piccolo. She is an accomplished tennis player and especially enjoys hiking and Colorado's scenic views. She has a wonderful, friendly manner and is a great asset to Dr. Perryman’s team.
